The South Carolina Birth Outcomes Initiative is an effort by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, South Carolina Hospital Association, March of Dimes, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and more than 100 stakeholders to improve the health outcomes for newborns not only in the Medicaid program but throughout the state’s population.
